I havent updated in a very long time. So a quick update:
- I am getting married in 12 weeks
- Together with the above I am quitting my job I had since Dec '06 at the end of this month
- Sweet Pea and Squeaky both died last week Tuesday. The vets still do not know what was wrong with them.

I am hoping to be able to be able to draw more often from next month onwards, but we will have to see

I havent updated my journal in ages.

Well, when I got back to work after my babies arrived the girl working with me (main instructor at the stables) suddenly quit. Although it was pretty bad it ended up fine. I've gotten so much more experience now riding all the difficult horses here and..... I started instructing.... the part of horses I didnt want to do (and made the people know that)... but... I'm into the thing now and its actually kinda fun (except for the difficult 3 year olds!)

Tuesday morning we got robbed. My dad got tied up (he fell asleep in the lounge and woke up while they were busy robbing the house) and one of them with a gun kept an eye on him. Mom, sister and myself werent aware of what happened. They stole my dad's sound system, everyones cell phones (except mine because i sleep with my door closed, but they took my sister's out of her room while she was sleeping there!) and some cash from the safe (which they made my dad open). At about 3:20am my dad woke everyone up to see if we're ok. Scary thing is at 2:33am I let Mouse (my cat) out of my room Luckily no one got hurt. You read so many news articles about house robberies like this where the people actually get shot...... joys of living in south africa I guess

On the good side I found myself a nice groom My babies have never been shinier, especially Midnight. I should post some new photos of them. Artwise.. I have a few pieces I'm working on but I hardly have time to really complete them >.<

My babies came home yesterday afternoon. I finally have my own 2 horses! It still feels pretty unreal.

So far they are doing well. Midnight is acting like a real horse now, he is happy in his stable. Leila doesnt want to be alone. Tonight is the first night they are sleeping in their own stables. Last night I let them share a stable to help with the stress of moving and leaving mommy but in my opinion it didnt really work. They worked each other up and started biting and kicking at each other, especially from Leila's side. Separate stables seem to be working best, well Leila isn't happy but she'll just have to make peach with it.

I was really surprised when we let them out today. From my experience I was expecting them to run around and calling but instead they walked off and started trotting a bit around the yard. Guess it helps that mommy is a good hour's drive away from here.

I'm really loving my foals and everyone in my family are liking them a bit too much though! Do expect a lot of foal pictures from me!
